STOP! You're Killing Me is a 1940s detective thriller spoof, written and directed by local youngster John Hewer. In it, we follow the story of Inspector Sam Sloan and his quest to reveal who killed Max Summers. But nothing's quite that easy. Max's sister, Rowetta, seems to be hiding something from Sloane and it's up to our plucky young hero to find out what.
After its hugely successful premiere at Easter, STOP! is embarking on a summer tour, starting at Louth and ending at Hambledon, the birthplace of cricket and the reason for the name Hambledon Productions. Come along for a night of ruthless detective work; clever, fast and witty dialogue and a mixture of Marx Brothers, Peter Sellers and Monty Python. You might just simply DIE...laughing!
